Description
Gleeman Associates, a retained search firm that specializes in
recruiting talent for the Executive Search industry, is currently representing a
Boston based retained search firm that is seeking a future Partner to open a
remote office, preferably on the East Coast.
About the firm:
This
boutique firm is a recognized leader in retained executive search and human
capital consulting for emerging, high-growth companies, with specialization in
the education, information, technology (including clean tech), and life sciences
sectors.
Over the past decade their principals have completed more than
200 board and senior management search assignments, for a slate of clients that
includes venture capitalists and private investors, their portfolio companies,
and public companies with a strong commitment to entrepreneurship and
technology.
They also have a European partnership which has enabled them
to help both European and North American clients as they expand abroad.
The Role:
The firm is seeking to bring in one or more new
Partners to (1) broaden their industry scope; (2) leverage their investment in
their brand and reputation, technology infrastructure, and state-of-the-art
search methodology; and (3) share in the asset wealth created by the firm’s
senior leadership.
What they seek therefore is an experienced and
entrepreneurial rainmaker—someone with a proven track record in retained
executive search—to take ownership of one or more industry sectors. This might
be in any one of the following: financial services, telecommunications, life
sciences, clean tech, manufacturing, digital media (including advertising), or
consumer products and services.
This individual will be responsible for
all phases of the search process, from client development through project
management, working with our experienced staff of recruiters, researchers, and
administrative professionals. In addition, s/he will play an active role in the
daily operations of the company.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal
candidate will bring a “book” of clients together with the skills and desire to
be (or remain) a million dollar biller. He or she will be thoroughly steeped in
all phases of retained executive search. Specific competencies include—
* Deep knowledge of one or more industries—companies, executives,
trends, conferences, and vocabulary
* Deep knowledge of executive
search—client development, client management, project launch and supervision,
and end-game—as well as recent trends in the areas of recruitment tools, search
methodology, candidate assessment, and project management
* Experience
and interest in helping to manage a professional services firm—staffing,
delegating, excelling through best practices, growing, and making more
profitable
* A desire to join an already successful search firm and to
contribute to its rapid expansion
You will be able to work remotely,
manage a virtual office, or out of the NY office if preferred. Locations of
particular interest include New York, Silicon Valley, Washington DC, Toronto,
Chicago, Atlanta, and Dallas.

Compensation:
Compensation includes base salary, bonus (with
