Job Overview:
The Recruiter will share responsibility for reducing turnover with the management of the employment function by staffing positions with quality candidates that meet the criteria of the positions and PCI Gaming Authority values. Will work to ensure that all positions are staffed in a timely manner by partnering with the hiring manager to understand their hiring needs and develop comprehensive recruiting strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify sources of potential candidates from other companies, professional organizations, community agencies, colleges/universities, diversity sources, and other networks
- Generate a pool of qualified applicants for the majority of PCIGA’s positions and stay in contact with applicants in order to communicate new employment opportunities
- Screen applicants over telephone, conduct personal interviews utilizing the behavioral interviewing technique, test applicants (where appropriate), and recommend applicants for employment. Organize and conduct open houses for high volume recruiting requirements, when necessary
- Represent the business at job fairs, college recruitment offices, high school placement offices, etc., to identify qualified candidates
- Assist in the review of turnover rates, staffing and retention problems, and the development and implementation of actions to reduce turnover
- Forecast and analyze future staffing requirements to ensure appropriate employee preparation and business recruitment activities to staff future positions openings in a proactive manner
- Provide reports on a monthly basis that identify the number of positions filed, duration position was opened and recruiting sources used for each position
- Aggressively and creatively source, recruit, interview, assess and present top-quality potential professionals to managers for hiring consideration
- Effectively utilize recruitment related marketing tools
- Coordinates a cost effective advertisement campaigns as needed
- Proactively seek and develop a pipeline of qualified candidates
- Utilize a variety of sourcing techniques to screen, identify and select qualified candidates including cold calling, Internet sourcing and direct referrals
- Facilitate phone and face to face interview schedules
- Attend internal and external career fairs
- Form partnerships with outside recruiting agencies
- Assist with all new hire orientations as needed and ensures compliance of all new hire enrollment
- Extend offers of employment, prepare offer letters and respond to candidates not selected
Job Requirements:
- Associates degree in Human Resources or Business is required
- 1-5 years of human resource high volume exempt and non-exempt full life-cycle recruiting experience is required
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and candidates
- Knowledge of human resources practices as well as federal and state laws related to employment
- Must have flexibility in schedule to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed is required
- Experience recruiting qualified candidates for a large variety of positions from a variety of sources
- Experience with technology that supports the recruiting function, Excel, Word, Power Point is required
- Experience that demonstrates consultative approaches
- Demonstrated breadth of business experience and mature business approach
- A PCI Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) is required for this position
- Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
