 We are seeking a dynamic leader to serve as the Deputy Associate Administrator for Research, Innovation and Technology to lead and oversee the Volpe Center's Centers of Innovation (COIs), which encompass all of the research, innovation, technology, and transportation program analysis functions we perform at the Volpe Center.

An innovative, fee-for service organization, the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center), part of the U.S. Department of Transportation's (U.S. DOT's) Research and Innovative Technology Administration in Kendall Square, Cambridge, is an internationally recognized Federal center of transportation and logistics with a world-class, multidisciplinary technical team with expertise across all modes of transportation. Our work, performed primarily for DOT as well as other federal agencies and state, local, and international entities, support DOT’s goals. To succeed in this rewarding and challenging leadership position you must have expertise in at least one of the technical capabilities covered across the COIs, as well as exceptional management, planning, and communication skills; while not required, an advanced technical degree is highly desirable.

Annual salary range: $117,787 – $177,000.
