We are seeking an experienced Contract Recruiter which may convert to a regular position after 3 to 6 months,  to handle our corporate staff functional recruiting for both our headquarter's and our plants.  Reporting to the VP, Global Staffing, this position is a critical member of our small staffing team in a very fast paced recruiting environment.  We have the good fortune of using Taleo's sophisticated eRecruiting technology and now, have in place well defined recruitment processes.  Armstrong has a full service staffing function with in-house recruiters performing the central roles of sourcing, qualifying, managing the interviewing and selection processes, orchestrating the offer closure process and completing the hire processes.  The expectation is that we as recruiters understand the business, coach our managers on best staffing practices, identify and master the unique challenges of our business units, build partnerships with the line and pro-actively and responsively provide the very best service.   If this is the way you like to deliver staffing services, this may be the right position for you.  Depending upon business conditions and your performance, this position could become a regular position. This is a full time position that requires you to be on-site five days a week in Lancaster, PA.  

Primary accountabilities

  • Implementing creative Internet sourcing and data mining
  • Writing excellent position descriptions suitable for Internet employment branding & building prescreening questionnaires
  • Qualifying candidates against position requirements and competencies
  • Helping drive effective interviewing and selection processes
  • Appropriately closing recruits
  • Effectively manage candidate and internal customer relationships
  • Completing all legally required, Staffing Dept & company required recordkeeping
  • Participating in staffing process improvement projects.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years in professional corporate recruiting
  • BA / BS degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum of one year using eRecruiting Technology.  Knowledge of Taleo is a definite advantage.
  • High sense of urgency, customer focus and extra-ordinary detail management skills
  • Knowledge of effective interviewing methods and EEOC regulations
  • Presence to effectively position the staffing opportunity to job seekers and coach hiring managers on effective selection models.
