Description
The Talent Acquisition Practice Leader will be a critical member of the senior leadership team for the Electronics, Intelligence and Support (EI&S) Talent Acquisition (TA) Center of Excellence (COE). This position will also be an active member of multiple HR Line of Business (LOB) leadership teams providing strategic talent acquisition support to these LOB's as required.
This position will partner with senior HR and LOB leaders across an assigned geographic region to ensure the COE provides efficient and effective services that support the ongoing, dynamic needs of the business. Each region will be responsible for leading a talent acquisition team responsible for approximately 2000 hires annually in their specified region. They will foster a collaborative team environment and a strong service oriented culture that ensures delivery of efficient, effective, quality driven service to internal customers and meets customer service level agreements
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
*Participates as an active member of the EI&S HR Shared Services Leadership Team
*Recommends Talent Acquisition strategies to support the EI&S Operating Group consisting of 33,500 employees and over $7.8 billion in sales
*Responsible for collaborating with peers to develop regional and line of business talent acquisition strategies to hire approximately 2000 employees per region to meet business and revenue needs
*Provide leadership support to geographically dispersed team to include coaching and development for management team and other reports as required
*Supports Director of TA with negotiating TA service level agreements with the LOB HR VPs and establishes budget and resource levels to support these agreements
*Serves on Inc Talent Acquisition Working Group (RPG)
*Formulates and recommends Talent Acquisition strategies, guidelines and procedures concerning best practices, systems and methodologies
*Develops strong working relationships with TA/HR Business Partners and HR Shared Services peers
*Partner with customers to understand customer/LOB strategies in order to deliver COE services aligned to business objectives
*Works closely with internal and external customers to solicit feedback and identify opportunities to improve existing services through increasing quality and/or reducing costs and to identify new services that can be more effectively and efficiently delivered through the Talent Acquisition COE
*Maintain up to date knowledge of recruiting issues and trends, labor laws, and legislative initiatives that have short and long term implications on the profitability of the business
*The Practice Leader - Talent Acquisition is a senior-level position reporting directly to the Director of Talent Acquisition COE Shared Services.
*Ability to travel approximately 25%

Position Requirements:
*Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and fifteen or more years HR related experience. Preferably with 2-5 years in a defense or government contracting related industry
*Demonstrated experience with the various components of the Talent Acquisition function
*Must have a sound understanding of general business practices and must understand the nature of defense contracting
*A passion to transform end-to-end business process through scale, automation, standardization, aggressive performance management, and customer orientation
*Demonstrated ability to act as a change agent providing leadership and vision to the newly formed Talent Acquisition COE
*Ability to identify and implement opportunities to utilize technology as an enabler
*Ability to build networks throughout the organization and to drive the new paradigm of TA Shared Services
*Ability to establish and maintain relationships and to effectively interact, motivate, and influence staff in various levels of the organization
*Ability to successfully build and lead an organization of capable people to ensure that the appropriate services are being delivered to meet customer needs and to ensure that the vision of TA shared services and the COE are being executed
*Demonstrated effectiveness in leadership and influencing business partners
*Strong customer service focus; demonstrated ability to understand the customers business, issues and needs, proactively responding to customer requirements. Maintaining clear communication and taking action to continuously enhance the customers experience.
*Demonstrated team management and employee development skills, with large geographically dispersed teams
