Recruiters provide recruiting and consulting services to support the business needs of a respective client group and/or business line. Recruiters utilize proactive recruiting techniques and develop industry contacts to hire qualified and talented individuals who mirror Washington Mutual's culture and brand, selecting individuals who will provide added value to the department, business line and the bank.

Recruiters work closely with managers to clarify job specifications and requirements, discuss business operations and develop recruiting strategies to fill current and future staffing needs. Recruiters mentor hiring managers on appropriate bank and legal hiring/interviewing practices and procedures.

Recruiters creatively recruit, develop sources, successfully execute recruitment strategies and market and sell the company's attributes. Recruiters partner with their clients to review, analyze and reduce turnover, meet current and future hiring needs and assist in the development and rollout of retention programs

 

Qualifications:

  • Human Resource work experience, preferably in recruiting or equivalent education
  • Experience identifying and securing sources of potential job candidates
  • Experience recruiting qualified candidates from a variety of sources
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and the internet
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Experience developing and maintaining recruitment contacts
  • Experience marketing and selling a company's attributes to external candidates
  • Experience developing and executing a recruiting strategy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience working with all levels of management.
