SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITY:

The Director, US Staffing and Recruiting is a highly visible role that will provide strategic and tactical leadership to guide all US-based Staffing and Recruiting initiatives. Leading a team of 9 direct reports, the Director, US Staffing and Recruiting is responsible for managing the US corporate strategic recruitment objectives by implementing company-wide solutions across multi-functioning business units. He/She will identify and implement opportunities to improve the systems for the sourcing, screening and selection / acquisition of talented candidates nationwide. 

The Director, US Staffing and Recruiting will:

  • Improve quality, cost, and delivery of recruiting services
  • Lead and enhance / improve all US-based Staffing efforts (workforce planning, selection, assessment, and job evaluation / analysis
  • Lead US Recruitment Strategy (strategy development, employment value package, employment branding, active and passive candidate sourcing strategies, project-based recruitment, Internet recruitment strategies, etc.)
  • Improve current Staffing Practices (best practice, vendor and consulting knowledge)
  • Manage the contingent and retained search efforts (process knowledge, preferred vendors, etc.)
  • Implement and maintain an applicant tracking system
  • Develop and utilize metrics to determine the effectiveness of recruiting efforts (i.e. sourcing costs, cost per hire, retention, etc.)   
  • Prepare, communicate, and educate the organization on recruiting resources / systems / procedures / compliance
  • Assist hiring managers in determining and developing their strategies for current and future staffing 
  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process across multiple business activities for all candidates (professional roles)
  • Coordinate activity with recruiting resources including internet sites, papers, schools, placement companies, staffing services, etc.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years leading a large volume corporate staffing process (minimum of 5 years in a multiple location, decentralized environment)
  • Creating and implementing strategic staffing plan
  • Managing applicant tracking implementation experience
  • Demonstrated performance with coaching and developing teams to consistently deliver excellent customer service and superior results
  • Proven experience collaborating with multiple departments to align goals, resolve issues and ensure customer service
  • Demonstrated vendor management process improvement and cost reduction experience
  • Experience partnering with Shared Services business unit (immigration, benefits, compensation, relocation, etc)
  • Proven success in project management and developing strategy
  • Six Sigma experience; belt certification preferred
  • Manufacturing and/or consulting experience
  • Ability to execute by influence at all levels of the organization
  • Perseverance in the face of opposition/lack of knowledge
  • Confident and willing to push back on senior leaders as needed
  • Up to 25% travel

COMPENSATION:

Depending on the skills & experiences of the individual hired, we are anticipating a base salary of up to $120K, 20% target bonus, comprehensive benefits & relocation.
