		<title><![CDATA[Career and Internship Advisor]]></title>

Aurora University is an independent, comprehensive institution founded in 1893 offering bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. Our two campuses are located in Aurora, Illinois and on the shores of Geneva Lake in Wisconsin. <br />
The career and internship advisor works collaborating with faculty in educating students how to be prepared for the work world. This advisor must be able to cultivate professional connections with community employers to establish internship opportunities for Aurora University students. Furthermore, the career and internship advisor is expected to understand all university academic programs as a generalist to support the academic advising nature of the Crouse Center. <br />
<br />
<strong>Responsibilities:</strong> 
<li>Develops, implements, and assesses a centralized internship program in the Crouse Center for Student Success. </li>
<li>Collaborates with faculty in educating students how to gain professional skills through internships. </li>
<li>Establishes and leverages relationships with community employers in Aurora and Chicagoland to broaden the internship possibilities for students in non-certification majors. </li>
<li>Develops and coordinates marketing efforts for internships. </li>
<li>Participates in implementing retention initiatives. </li>
<li>Other duties as assigned <br />
<br />
<strong>Qualifications:</strong> </li>
<li>Master&rsquo;s degree </li>
<li>Experience in human resources, professional development, business, or counseling preferred </li>
<li>Ability to interact with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students and parents </li>
<li>Flexibility with evening and Saturday work hours </li>
<li>Valid Illinois driver's license </li>
<li>Ability to travel to off-campus locations, providing own transportation <br />
