Job Summary:<br />
This position Reports to a Vice President, Human Resources and is aligned with business and functional senior management client groups. The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for the implementation of human capital and organizational initiatives to help manage the successful execution of business strategies for NYLIC. The role of the Human Resources Business Partner is to align human resources priorities with the business agenda by delivering comprehensive and fully integrated, sustainable human resources programs in the following areas:<br />

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes but not limited to)<br />
&bull; Align HR strategy with business strategy<br />
&bull; Execute the strategic direction of HR, including implementation of high-value added HR processes that support business goals and objectives<br />
&bull; Provide leadership, advice and counsel to NYLIC&rsquo;s senior management on all human capital issues<br />
&bull; Coach, mentor and develop business partner staff<br />
&bull; Identify and develop leadership talent for pipeline and succession planning<br />
&bull; Partner with all HR functions, including talent review and acquisition, performance management, organizational capability and design, compensation, benefits, diversity, employee relations, leadership development and training to deliver easy access, quality service <br />
&bull; Leverage HR policies, programs and practices to create and maintain a positive, high-performing workplace<br />
&bull; Manage projects, programs and practices that engage, inspire, and recognize workforce performance<br />
&bull; Ensure workforce inclusion, representation and development<br />
<br />
Qualifications<br />
&bull; Ability to work effectively as a valuable partner management teams<br />
&bull; Business acumen and analytical skills with exposure to line and corporate functions<br />
&bull; Strong team development, interpersonal, and relationship building skills<br />
&bull; Ability to coach managers <br />
&bull; Ability to think creatively and constructively problem solve<br />
&bull; Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written<br />
&bull; Self directed and able to contribute individually and as part of a team<br />
&bull; Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and act with a sense of urgency<br />
